Meet Mark S. & Rebecca S.—the duo behind S&S Escape!

Our adventures together started back in 2019, when we first began dating—Rebecca in Los Angeles and Mark in Chicago. When Rebecca made the move back to Chicago in 2020, our long-distance chapter ended and our adventures really began.

Since then, we’ve been exploring whenever and wherever we can, with a travel style that’s equal parts indulgence and easy-going. We love a beautiful hotel, an unforgettable meal, a great bottle of wine, and those little luxuries that make a trip special—but we’re just as happy slowing down, wandering without an agenda, and seeing where the day takes us.

That’s what S&S Escape is all about: a little ‘lux and a whole lotta ‘lax.

We created this space to show a glimpse into our travels—sharing the places we love, our recommendations, and the itineraries we pick up along the way. Hopefully, we’ll inspire your next escape or at least give you a few good ideas for when you get there.
